March 19th, 2015 It is with a heavy heart that on Sunday, March 15th Jessica Stone – the woman who inspired the character Charlotte Goode in HEAR – passed away after years of suffering from Neurofibromatosis Type II. Throughout my teenager years and my early twenties, I've dreamed of meeting this wonderful and talented young woman to tell her in person how much she has shaped me into the writer that I am today. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure to meet Jessica in person to tell her this. My heart goes out to the family and friends who were close to Jessica, and I wish them all the very best. November 1st, 2014 After a summer of submitting various query letters to literary agents, Jacqueline Abelson and her novel, HEAR officially have been offered literary representation by Susan Schulman of Susan Schulman Literary Agency. The contract was drafted in early October and both parties signed on at the end of last month. Both agent and author are looking forward to working together and are excited to see the direction that HEAR will go in the near future. |
